What an unforgettable evening at the 2025 Commack High School Awards Ceremony!
It was a true honor for my mom and me to watch my brother, Eric Spinato, posthumously receive the Commack Alumni of Distinction Award—a moment filled with both pride and emotion. We’re deeply grateful to Commack High School for recognizing Eric’s lasting impact and for continuing to celebrate his legacy in such a heartfelt way.
Adding to the special night, we were proud to present the Eric Spinato Scholarship Award to Samantha Weinstein, an inspiring CHS senior who will be attending Syracuse University to pursue Broadcasting and Journalism—the very path Eric once walked. Congratulations, Samantha! We’ll be cheering you on every step of the way as you chase your dreams and carry forward the passion that defined Eric’s career.
A heartfelt thank you to the Commack Day Board—the backbone of the Eric Spinato Foundation—for showing up in full force. Special thanks to Dean Spinato, Nicole Andersen Campisi, Joe Tucciarone, and Nic Ann for their ongoing support and for helping to make the evening so meaningful.
This year, Commack High School seniors were awarded $90,000 in scholarships, funded by 80 community-based awards. It’s a powerful testament to the generosity and spirit of this community—a place where giving back and lifting others up remains at the heart of everything we do.
As always, we remain committed to honoring those we’ve lost—keeping their memories alive by investing in the next generation of leaders, storytellers, and changemakers.
